Mr. Charles Sherman passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Ingham Regional Medical Center. Age 60 years. He was born August 4, 1951 in Natchez, Mississippi to Willie W. and Josie I. Sherman.
Charles was a member of the Mt. Zion All Nation Bible Church in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Arthur Hill Tech and graduated with the Class of 1969. He retired from General Motors Grey Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 668.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, LaToya S. Sherman, Saginaw, MI; two sons, Antonio (Veronica) Jeffries, Vicksburg, MS, Marvell (Jena) Acoff Memphis, TN; one stepchild, Jerome Buckley Jr., Rochester Hills, MI; twelve grandchildren, LaMari, Alexis, Madalyn, Guya, Jaylan Acoff all from Memphis, TN, Sansheena, Antonica, Alexis and Briyna Jeffries all of Vicksburg, MS, Jasmine, Jhania and Jerome III Buckley all of Rochester Hills, MI; parents, Willie & Josie I. Sherman, Saginaw, MI; three sisters, Lois (Michael) Balls, Josie Sherman both of Saginaw, MI, Willie M. Washington, Covington, GA; three brothers, Clarence Whiting, Saginaw, MI, Billie R. (Marjorie) Sherman, Lansing, MI, David Leake, Flint, MI; twelve nieces; eight nephews; four special nephews, Jamar Lackey, Terrance, Rondell & Deonn Sherman. The family would like to express a special thanks to 3rd and 4th floor South of Ingham Regional Medical Center.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Bryant Montgomery, grandparents, Willie & Louvinia Sherman, John & Bertha Newell; one sister, Bernice Singleton.
