Charlie Orange

Mr. Charlie Orange began his earthly journey in life on September 21, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Tommy Sr. and Katie (Armstrong) Orange. While surrounded by his loving family, God whispered to him come to me. He gained his eternal wings and entered the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the age of 62 years.
Charlie was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He obtained his GED in 1971 and later went on to further his education by attending Delta College. Charlie was employed at the Saginaw Nodular Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 668. He enjoyed listening to jazz music, shopping and barbequing. He also enjoyed watching cowboy movies. Charlie truly loved his family and his wonderful presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy one daughter, Charlene Cofie Orange of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Grayson Orange-Beavers of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Katie (Curtis) Mills of Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers, James H. (Elnora) Smith of California, Tommie Jr. (Dorothy) Orange and David Orange both of Saginaw, Michigan; four nieces, Jennifer Mills, Stephanie Mills, Brigette (Edward) Daniels and Marilyn J. Washington; two great-nieces, Regan Orange and Shana King; three nephews, Jermain Orange, James A. Smith and Keith T. Smith; one great-nephew, DaMarius Mills; two aunts, Idell Johnson of Louisiana and Lucille Johnson of Illinois; one uncle, Isreal (Denise) McDonald of Illinois; many other relatives and friends including his godsister, Haria Woods-Smith.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Sr. and Katie (Armstrong) Orange and several aunts and uncles.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staffs of St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center, Healthsource Saginaw and Brenda Pruitt of Training & Treatment.
