Charlie Parham

February 8, 1925 — August 21, 2014

CHARLIE PARHAM put on his suit and his wings and went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the age of 89 years. He was born February 8, 1925 in Round Lake, Mississippi, the son of the late John and Lillie (Washington) Parham.
Charlie was a businessman first, and a Jack-of-all- trades, who could fix anything from TVs to everything in and around the house. He retired from the Grey Iron Foundry and was a member of U.A.W. Local 668. Mr. Parham was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Burt, Michigan where he served faithfuly with the Male Chorus. Charlie was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle who loved everybody and loved helping his people.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Sylvia (Doddie) Parham; six daughters and ten sons, Charlie Mae Parham, Geraldine Mack, Gloria and Louise Parham, Debra Marlow, Roxanne and Markesha Parham, William, David, Richard, Aaron, Curtis, Kenneth, Derrick and Eric Parham, Ladel Hill, and Charles Allen; one brother, John T. Parham; three sisters, Dorothy P. Kemp, Lillie (Joseph )McKnight, and Annie M. Davis; one aunt, Margarite Washington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Parham was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillie (Washington) Parham; son, Wesley Parham, daughter, Nadine Parham, grandson, William Parham, Jr., brothers, William, Earnest and Percy Parham.
