Cheryl Aldridge (Lansing)

July 16, 1954 — May 11, 2017

Cheryl Lynn Aldridge, our beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend transitioned from her earthly home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 62 years. Cheryl was born July 16, 1954 to Sinclair and Eva L. Aldridge in Lansing, Michigan.



Cheryl was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan and a proud graduate of J. W. Sexton High School. In her youth she was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles J. Patterson, where she was active in several youth ministries groups. Cheryl was a former State of Michigan employee and home healthcare provider until her health began to fail. Cheryl had a beautiful loving spirit, which drew people to her. She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her family and friends, who were all very important to her and held a special place in her heart.



She leaves to cherish her memory sister, Earnice D. Husband; brother, Carl W. Aldridge; 4 nieces: Karla (Willie Joe) Calloway; Shawnette Husband; Rhea (Michael) McCarty and Tela-Moynai Aldridge; 2 aunts, Gertrude Pointer, and Versie Aldridge of Blytheville, Arkansas; 2 uncles, Clarence and Ernest Aldridge; great niece, Shadaira McCarty; 3 great nephews, Michael McCarty, Jr., Re'Jere McCarty and AaZan Reece; many other relatives including special cousins, Synetta, Karshena, Donna and Deneen; and friends, including special friends Ronnie Grey, Shauneen McClain, Samaria Rhodes and Paula Aldridge.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Sinclair and Eva L. Aldridge; sister, Agnes L. Aldridge and brother, William H. Aldridge.
