Cheryl James

Mrs. Cheryl L. James passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 64 years. She was born on November 5, 1956 in Saginaw to Tommie Lee and Charlene Sanders.

Mrs. James was a resident of Chicago, Illinois for many years prior to relocating back to Saginaw. There she met and married Mr. William James. Cheryl was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church under leadership of The Very Reverend Judith Boil. Cheryl loved to fish, and she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She will be missed by family and friends.

She leaves to cherish loving memories a son and daughter-in-law, Hiram T. (Tracey Sanders), Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, De’Andre J. Sanders, Houston, Texas, and step-granddaughter, K-La Sanders; sisters, Linda (Grady) Holmes, Saginaw, Michigan, Dawn (Anthony) Thomas, Chicago, Illinois; brothers, Larry (Valarie) Packard, Darnell (Mary Lou) Sanders, Saginaw, Michigan; nieces, Chevon Holmes, Ukiah, California, Tiffany (Arnold) Brookins, Saginaw, Michigan; nephews, Sidney Brooks-Sanders, Saginaw, Michigan, Darnell Sanders, Holland, Michigan; many cousins including Jackie Donald, Tonya Sanders, Joe Sanders, Fillipa Ann Guster, Andre Crawford, Rachelle Crawford and Eric Crawford; many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, William James, parents, Tommie Lee and Charlene Sanders, brothers, Darwin, Darrell and Drew Sanders.
