Chloria Mae Scott

Ms. Chloria Mae Scott Cora passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Age 96 years. She was born May 29, 1919 to Ada Sharp and Hercules Brody in Decatur County, Tennessee.


Ms. Scott resided in Saginaw, Michigan and was a lifelong member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. She retired from St. Marys Medical Center in 1990. Cora enjoyed watching old westerns and the TCT channel. She was proud of her age and would always tell anyone she met that they better hope they look as good as she did at her age! Cora always gave God praise for her long life. She truly loved the Lord. Cora was always happy when her family was around to share laughs. She had a keen sense of humor. Ms. Scott will truly be missed by family and friends.


She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Duane Feltson, Sr. (Felicia) of Saginaw, Michigan; a granddaughter and grandson whom she raised, Shalita Boutte of Saginaw, Michigan and Gregory Boutte, Jr. of Marietta Georgia; grandchildren, Tracy and Michael Boutte of Saginaw, Michigan, Cozy Boutte, Flint, Michigan, Karyn Boutte, Saginaw, Michigan, Adrainna Liles-Boutte of Dallas, Texas, MaKeevah Reynolds and Arnisha Britton, Saginaw, Michigan, Duane Feltson, Jr., and Aaron Sharper; great-grandchildren, Shampane Boutte (named Cora Nana) of Saginaw, Michigan, Tyrone Hamilton, Flint, Michigan, Tramariea, Kenneth and Aniyah of Saginaw, Michigan, Gregory III, Jaylen and Naheim of Marietta, Georgia, Maston Liles-Boutte of Dallas, Texas and special great-granddaughter, Chloria Boone; godchildren, Patricia Caldwell, Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara Montgomery, Alexander Campbell and Eric Campbell of Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mrs. Levada Taylor, Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Buddy and Anne Strother, Mrs. Mildred Burton, Mrs. Swan, Addison, Dale, Nolan, Quentin, Quincey, and her special dog, Caldwell.

Ms. Scott was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Boutte, Sr., sisters, Pauline, Starlin and Opal, and brothers, Guy and Will.

The family would like to express special thanks to Rev. P. David Saunders and the Bethel A.M.E. Church family, Mr. Charles Doyle, and Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
