The Fulfillment of Life, by Ms. Christine Blackmon

If you are reading this, I have made it home. I thought to write this out in case anyone asked. I had an amazing time while there. It seems like yesterday when I took my first breath on July 17, 1959. I was born in Saginaw, Michigan, to Jewel Blackmon, who preceded me on this journey alongside my two brothers, Henry McKinley and Louis Blackmon. I was whisked away from here at the age of 65 on February 27, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan, at McLauren of Greater Lansing.

What time I had, I left behind my two daughters and seven grandchildren, who have made me so proud. Many days, I sat on the side of the bed talking to the Lord about my children and grandchildren. They have gotten so big and will continue to do amazing things for the world to see. What a blessing! My oldest daughter, Ebony Blackmon Humphrey, Texas, has given me Kahnya and Naliya Humphrey, Washington State, Tory Jr., Taylor, Tyrin, and Layah Humphrey, Texas. My youngest daughter, Jewel (Charles) Palen, gave me Julie Palen, Michigan. My siblings who are still their J C Blackmon, Texas, Isaac McKinley, California, and Timothy Sr. (Christine) Cross, Michigan. Throughout the years, I have been loved by countless friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Several people who have impacted my life were Johnnie Gilmore, who stepped into a father’s role when I was a young girl to my bonus son, Tory Humphrey Sr.

I could not have imagined it would all work out for the good. I have always believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to now see the works of His hand has made me eagerly wait for what’s next. Although you may not hear my voice, know that I am safe. My life continues through my children and grandchildren. Enjoy them as I have.
