Christine Gissendanner

Mrs. Christine E. Gissendanner passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 81 years. She was born November 9, 1931 in Ozark, Alabama to Simmie and Asabell Johnson.
Christine attended D.A. Smith High School in Ozark, Alabama. After relocating to Saginaw, Michigan she was employed at Pat & Mikes Pharmacy where she later retired. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor P. David Saunders. Christine loved fishing, cooking and being a mother to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mr. James T. Gissendanner; three daughters, Margerett (Walter) Canty, Shirley (Al) Harrell, Jacqueline Pritchett; two sons, Napoleon Gissendanner, Alfonso (Bobbie) Gissendanner; twenty-three grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Nell Priest, Ozark, Alabama; many other relatives and friends.
Christine was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita Threat, one sister, Dorothy Green, four brothers, George Johnson, Henderson Johnson, Lewie Frank Johnson, Simmie Johnson Jr.
