Clarissa Fay Davis

Ms. Clarissa Fay Davis passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, at the age of 56. She was born May 10, 1966, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Reverend James Davis, Sr. and Maude Davis.


Clarissa confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Historic Second Baptist Church in Bay City, Michigan. Clarissa graduated from Bay City Central High School, Class of 1985. She was actively involved in Christian Education at the National, State and District levels, having recently completed coursework requirements for the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc., Certificate of Progress Program (C.O.P.P.) graduation. Clarissa was employed by 7-Eleven and Speedway for over 10 years and was a Paparazzi Jewelry representative.


Clarissa, a faithful church member, served in several capacities, including President of the Nurses Guild, Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and worship team, Dorcas Women’s Auxiliary, and Youth Department. Clarissa was also an active member of the Saginaw Valley Baptist District Association, Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention, and Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention (BM&E). She enjoyed social media, dressing nicely, singing, and selling her jewelry. Clarissa will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.


She leaves to cherish loving memories her godson, Amir Doyle; special great-nieces and nephews, Ayanna Doyle, Elijah Doyle, and Arthur J. Doyle; two sisters, Mary Stelle, Alabama, and Rachel Davis, Bay City, Michigan; two brothers, James Davis, Jr., Pinconning, Michigan, and Reverend John H. (Marie) Davis, Bay City, Michigan; special niece, Calamesha (Arthur) Doyle, Jacksonville, Florida; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; aunts, Catherine Stovall, and Eula Davis, Chicago, Illinois; two uncles, Reverend Jeffery (Reverend Dorothy) Davis, Alabama, Herman (Rita) Davis, Tennessee; a host of cousins; sister-in-law, Clara L. Davis, and many other relatives and friends including special friends, Tina Dawson, Chara Marshall, Karen Lowery, and Denise Tyiska.


Clarissa was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend James Davis, Sr. and Maude Davis; sister, Renita Davis; brother, Charles E. Davis, and sister-in-law, Helen Davis.
