Our Dear Sweet Mother, Granny, Sister, Aunt and Friend went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Born Claudine Presley on June 17, 1936 in Reform, Alabama to Oscar and Willie Mae Presley, she had a very peaceful transition from this world while resting in the arms of her loving daughter.

Claudine was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1953”. She married Alfred H. Cooper on August 6, 1956 and the two shared a wonderful life together until he predeceased her.

Claudine retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after thirty-five years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James Hodge until her health declined. Claudine was a woman of faith, full of class and grace, and she will truly be missed.

Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred H. Cooper; parents, Oscar and Willie Mae Presley; sister, Eloise Pittman; brothers, Troy and Cicero Presley; sister-in-law, Sharon Presley; dear friend, Benjamin Lee, Sr.

She leaves so many cherished memories with her son, Elrick D. Cooper; daughter, Victoria (Rickie Sr.) Lee; grandchildren, Rickie Jr., Delmar (Gabby), Jaden Lee and her devoted granddaughter Jada Deneen Lee; great-granddaughter, Zerlina Victoria, Columbus, Indiana; sisters, Dorothy (William) Jones, Shirley (James) York, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Hattye Tharpe, Memphis, Tennessee; brothers, Samual Presley, Raymond (Lynn) Presley, both of Saginaw, Michigan; special nieces, Cheryl Moye, Pamela Gissendanner, Trudy Vaughn, Sabrena Presley, Dana Clement, Kenyea Jones; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Bessie McDole, Vivian Tarkington and Family, Rev. The family sends a special hug to Claudine’s devoted, dedicated and loving son-in-law, Rickie Lee, Sr., who she loved and appreciated so much. We also would like to express special thanks to Lisa and Cardinal Hospice, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
