Mrs. Cleotha Tinsley was born June 26, 1933 in DeKalb County, Indiana to John T. and Mary Belle Andrews. Cleotha, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2014 at her residence. Age 81 years. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church for 50 years where she sang with the choir until she took ill and was no longer able to serve. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also loved shopping and going out to dinner with the love of her life. They were sweethearts for 60 beautiful years. She loved her candy and fudge. Mrs. Tinsley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Tinsley leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James A. Tinsley of Saginaw, Township, Michigan; three daughters and three sons, Jeffery Tinsley, Leslie Kay Brown, Vanessa (John) Scott, Crystal Tinsley, James A. Tinsley, Jr. (Asia), Andre Tinsley (Jill); twelve grandchildren, Charlotte Brown and Carlton Tinsley of Saginaw, Michigan, Loukia Scott and John Scott II (Sarah) of Dallas, Texas, Monquez Tinsley of Saginaw, Michigan, Montrell Tinsley of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Shavonne and Percy Butterfield II of Saginaw, Michigan, Kamaria Richmond (Tristan), Dayna Morris (DeSean), Valencia, Alexis, Sydney and Andre Tinsley, Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan; twenty-nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Jeanette Tinsley of Oklahoma, Violet (Curtis) Bland of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Leotha Murphy of Bay City, Michigan, Phyllis Andrews of Saginaw Michigan, and Michelle (Ken) Rose of White Lake; many nieces including special nieces, Sharry (Fred) Hammond and Valerie Brown; many nephews including special nephews, Louis and Lloyd Tinsley; uncle, Royal Doster; many cousins; sister-in-law, Barbara (John) Burton; brother-in-law, Herbert Tinsley; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Kim Perkins, Rudy Moten (godson), Sara Young, Valena Tinsley (daughter-in-law), and Mary Johnson.
Mrs. Tinsley was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Mary Belle Andrews; brothers Lloyd and Raymond Andrews; sister, Shirley Washington; sister-in-law, Claudia Andrews; brother-in-law, Earnest Murphy; nieces, Charlotte Crawford and Sharon Hughes and great granddaughter, Mariah Carroll.
