Coatis Anderson

Coatis Anderson Sr. departed this earthly life on January 6, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare- Harrison. Age 77 years. He was born March 25, 1935 in Panola Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Anderson.
Coatis accepted Christ at an early age and attended school in Panola, Alabama. He retired from the Saginaw Melting Casting Operations Plant (General Motors) and was a member of UAW Local 668. Coatis was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His hobbies included cooking, traveling, working in his yard and socializing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Hattie (Curtis) Thomas, Yolanda Richardson (William Flounoy), Chantell Daniels, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Earline (James) Russell, Grand Rapids, Michigan; six sons, Pearlie Daniel, Robert (Diane) Daniel, Coatis Anderson Jr. (Patricia Jones), Shannon Daniels, all of Saginaw, Michigan, John (Brenda) Jones, Atlanta, Georgia, Glenn (Joyce) Anderson, San Antonio, Texas; three sisters and three brothers, OC (Elise) Anderson, Willie B. Anderson, Wallace (Annie) Anderson, Cecil (Glorious) Anderson, Ethel (Bobby) Shaw, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Mima (John) Batiste, Somers, Connecticut; a special aunt, Susie Mitchell, Detroit, Michigan; a very special friend, Rosalind Patterson and her children, Makeda Joshua, Kirkland James and Jasmine Patterson, all of whom he treated like his own; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Melvin Benbow and Kenneth Champion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Anderson, daughters, Shirley Richardson, Susie Daniel and Margaret Anderson, parents, Pete and Marthan Anderson, one brother, PJ Anderson, one sister, Hattie Anderson.
