Coeinth Nathaniel Mcdaniel "Coe"

December 15, 1948 — January 20, 2024

Mr. Coeinth Nathaniel McDaniel “Coe” passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital. Age 75 years. He was born December 15, 1948, in Florence, Alabama, to James and Mary McDaniel.


Coeinth accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Buena Vista “Class of 1967,” and was a proud BV Knight. A Veteran of the United States Army, Coeinth served during the Vietnam War; he received an Honorable Discharge. He retired from the VA Hospital after 25 years of employment as a Chef. Coeinth loved to cook, fish, play dominoes, and crack jokes. He was a great artist. Coe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Pamela McDaniel, Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, Michelle (Ron) Hill, Grand Blanc, Michigan; two sons, Dontae McDaniel, Saginaw, and Quavis McDaniel, Muskegon, Michigan; four stepchildren, Mike (Stephanie) Schnell, Bay City, Michigan, Lashonda (Evan) McGill, Kim Powell, and Swann Feagin; grandchildren, Sydney and Kendall Hill, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Alexa Hart, Bay City, Michigan, Tiana Schnell, Everett Ledbetter, Erreon (Aaliyah) Thompson, Eneisha McGill, D’Marion McGill, Elijah McGill, all of Saginaw, Michigan Milon Mitchell, Daniel Abraham, Cottreal Cornelius, Kim Powell, and Joseph Powell; great-grandchildren, Luna Powell, Amani Thompson, Jasper Murphy, Charlette Hart, Mykasia Donald, and Tyson Goerner; three sisters, Carroll (Johnnie) Green, Houston, Texas; Sheila (Ernest) White, Pearland, Texas, and Lynnette (John) Bond, Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Darrell McDaniel, Saginaw, Michigan; and Alex McDaniel, Grand Rapids, Michigan; a host of nieces, and nephews; one aunt Nazola (John) Morgan; two uncles, William (Emma) of Saginaw, and Harold (Barbara), Florence, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Brian (Elizabeth) McGill; many other relatives and friends.


Coeinth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary McDaniel, mother and father-in-law, B. S. and Ethel McGill; grandparents, Willie and Louise Carroll, John and Margaret McDaniel; brother, Willie McDaniel; and special uncle, Joe McDaniel.


The family would like to thank Covenant Emergency Room Staff, the University of Michigan ICU, and the VA Medical Center.
