Colleen Verdusco

February 10, 1956 — November 15, 2020

Colleen Verdusco was born February 10, 1956 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the daughter of Jack and Fannie Sangster. She died suddenly on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Covenant Hospital at the age of 63 years.

Colleen was a member of Word of Faith International Ministries. She enjoyed watching wrestling, cowboy movies, the lottery and completing crossword puzzles. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and creating special memories with her companion. Whenever her children were around, a game of Tunk was sure to be played.

Colleen was the glue of her family and always had family gatherings. She loved putting a smile on everyone’s face with her big smile. She was sweet as pie with a heart of gold and everyone called her “Suga.” Her presence will truly be missed.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Fannie Sangster; brothers, Jack Jr., John, Charles Sangster; sister, Marion Sangster; grandparents, Jack and Clara Sangster, Robert and Betty King; mother-in-law, Anita Verdusco; cousin, Terry Sangster.

She is survived by her spouse of thirteen years, Phillip M. Verdusco, Sr.; children, Christine D. Verdusco and Phillip M. Verdusco, Jr., both of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Myra I. and Jose A. Verdusco, Saginaw, Michigan; sister, Betty Jean Sangster, Brownsville, Tennessee; brother, Michael Sangster, Knoxville, Tennessee; four aunts; seven uncles; father-in-law, Joseph Verdusco; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; special friend and companion, Joseph L. Glass Jr.; special cousins, Jackie, Jerome and Pan Sangster; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones and friends, including her best friend Kim Wakefield.

The family would like to express special thanks to Joseph L. Glass for caring for their mother and being her companion for seventeen years.
