Constance Brown

March 29, 1959 — October 31, 2014

On Friday, October 31, 2014 Ms. Constance LaFaye Brown went home to sing with the Lords Heavenly choir. Age 55 years. She was born March 29, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to Mary L. Jackson and Ovoy Brown Sr.
Constance was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Paul E. Broaddus. Constance was a member of the church Praise Team, Five Oclock Rock Choir and the Inspirational Voices until her health failed her. She was an awesome singer whom had the opportunity to perform with various groups and choirs throughout the city. Constance enjoyed sitting at her computer and playing games. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Her presence will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory her fianc, Donzell Dawkins; one daughter, Krenaeka Brown; two stepchildren, Donzell Jr. and Andrae Dawkins; four grandchildren, DMyrion, DaMarko, DKasha and Ahmariyah; one great-grand-daughter, Kailyn Kyrie Lucy Young; stepfather, William Jackson; two sisters, Thelma (James) Prescott and Mary (Matthew) Laury; five brothers, Jimmie Lee (Valerie) Skipworth, Waydell (Chiquita) Brown, Major Brown, Anthony Brown and Stephenson (Darlene) Brown; her stepsister and stepbrother, Jennifer and Napolean Jackson; several nieces and nephews; five aunts, Mammie (Frank) Rogers, Marthan Moss, Francis Moncreif, Della Davis and Josephine Jackson; one uncle, LeeRoy Brown; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Annie Carr, Claudia Cooper and Marcella Linzsey; two special people she called her daughters, Kimberly Marshall and Temiska Sanders.
Constance was preceded in death by her parents, Mary L. Jackson and Ovoy Brown Sr., grandparents, Cornelius and Lucille Skipworth, Aubelua Long and Anthony Brown, one brother, Ovoy Brown Jr.
The family would like to express special thanks to the nursing staff of Covenant Healthcare 6th floor ICU, LeCreasha Wearrien, Pastor Paul E. Broaddus and the Truevine Missionary Baptist Church Family.
