Constance Wallace-Washington

November 15, 1962 — July 21, 2015

Mrs. Constance Wallace-Washington Connie made her transition to eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 52 years at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born November 15, 1962 to Floyd Bender and Marilyn Jean Cheathem.
On May 2, 2015 Connie joined Mr. Only Washington in holy matrimony. He survives her. Constance graduated from Vassar High School in 1981. She also attended Davenport University and graduated from Ross Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison for over 17 years and at Avenue Clothing for over 7 years, both in Saginaw, Michigan.
Constance was a member of Holy Mission Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor David Howard for many years. She served as Pastor Howards personal nurse until her mom (whom she loving calls her baby) needed help and she then moved to Vassar, Michigan. She became a member of Greater Ephesians Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Harold W. Jones, Sr. and Missionary Althea Jones. Constance served as Superintendent Jones personal nurse, Prayer Warrior, Prophetess, Teacher, Counselor and whatever her hands could do. She was a friend to everyone. She had a soft sweet spirit. Constance always had a kind word and made time for whoever needed her.
Constance leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Only Washington; one son, Vernshea Harrison; two daughters, Nieshia Harrison and Tyechia Harrison; sixteen grandchildren; one brother, Anthony Mario Bender; five sisters, Debra A. Bridgewater, Carolyn (Dwane) Sample, Tushja (Nickary) Cheathem-Subula all of Saginaw, Michigan, Eva Ware of Orlando, Florida and Lucy Johnson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; special uncle, Cornell Howard; special aunts, Wealthy Howard and Jessie Mae Moncrief; godson, Marquavious Cheathem; special friends, Pastor Earl Fisher, Kwana Scott, Lavonne Wallace, Tonya Pilgram, Sarah Riley, Rita Noble and Annette Harper; many other relatives and special friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Bender; grandparents, Nathaniel Howard and Hattie B. Harper; step-grandparents, Gus Harper and Eva Moncrief; step-father, J.D. Cheathem; brothers, Lorenzo Tracey Bender, Terry Lee Bender and Artis Develle Bothuel; nephews, JDeangelo Cheathem and Tamarus Lorenzo Bender and brother-in-law, Amos Bridgewater.
The family wishes to express thanks to everyone who has offered kind words, prayers and condolences. Special thanks to Pastor David and Diane Howard of Holy Mission COGIC, Supt. Harold and Missy Althea Jones of Greater Ephesians, Pastor and Sis. Earl Fisher of Holy Spirit Revival, Elder Bradford and Dorthy Wicker, Pastor Weston and Pastor and Sis. Ortega of Spirit Filled Light House. Thank you for all of your prayers, encouragement, love, support, food and comfort. May the Lord bless you all 1,000 times.
