Ms. Cora Belle Manning Blagmon passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi to Abe Manning and Sarah Taylor Dorsey Manning.
Cora relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in February 1966. She was employed with General Motors for several years before retiring in 1994. Cora was a member of the Greater Freewill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James E. Speed. Cora loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. She was a caring and loving person who was also an encourager to everyone she met. Her presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memory three daughters, Phyllis Manning of Saginaw, Michigan, Saran Manning of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Rebekka (Stephen) Hardy of Saginaw, Michigan; two step-children, Daemmon (Victoria) Blagmon of Atlanta, Georgia and Nicholle Blagmon of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Shauna Washington, Camry, Kholio and Tierney Hardy all of Saginaw, Michigan; one great-grandson, Brandon Mays of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, George (Bernice) Dorsey and Pastor Roy (Beatrice) Manning both of Saginaw, Michigan and one sister, Alma (Clifford) Bonner of Chicago, Illinois; four sisters- in-law, Pearl and Ella Mae Dorsey of Saginaw, Michigan, Bernice Dorsey of Joiner, Arkansas and Katie Dorsey of Houston, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews including a special niece, Mildred Dorsey Bell; many other relatives and friends.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blagmon, her parents, Abe and Sarah Manning, two sisters, Sarah Morris and Bernice Manning, eight brothers, Willie Brik, Edzra Dorsey, Charles Dorsey, Pastor James Dorsey, Matron Dorsey, Phillip Dorsey, Robert Lee Dorsey and Roosevelt Dorsey.
