Cora L. Jackson (Lansing)

Ms. Cora Lee Jackson, also known as “Love,” was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, surrounded by her children at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. Age 58 years. She was born to Eligah Jackson, Sr. and Cora May Joy in Memphis, Tennessee on September 2, 1963.

Cora loved the Lord and shared the Word as often as she could with others. Her generous spirit and compassionate heart reflected her love for the Lord. Let’s not forget how much she loved her coffee. Therefore, earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Shamarah Roper, Ashley Roper, and Shante Roper; sons, Stanley Roper, Jr. and Shoun Roper; 8 granddaughters; 11 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Janice Jackson, Cylinda Hackman, and Sandra Jackson all of Lansing; Brenda Jackson of Tampa, Florida and Debra Crowell of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers, Russell Joy, Bobby Joy, Eligah Jackson, Jr., and Terry Jackson all of Lansing, Michigan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends including special friend, Jeff Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Jackson, Shelby Joy, Bertha Thomas, and Patricia Joy; granddaughter, Tayviana Roper, and grandson, Maximus Roper.
