Mrs. Cora Lee Swearengen received her wings on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 91 years. She was born July 29, 1930, in Philipp, Mississippi (Tallahatchie County), to Nathaniel and Emma Jakes.

Cora was educated in Philipp Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age. As a young girl, Cora enjoyed going to church and praising the Lord. Cora also loved feeding the neighborhood kids and family. She will be missed by family and friends.
