Corene Williams (Lansing)

Mrs. Corene Williams was called home on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Sparrow Health Systems Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 65 years. She was born April 21, 1956, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to parents Thomas and Ada Edmondson.

Corene confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Doors of Healing, led by Pastor Erlene B. Sudduth, in Lansing, Michigan where she has resided for many years.

She studied hard and furthered her education to become a nurse. Corene proudly worked at and retired from Sparrow Health Systems Hospital.

Corene was a true believer in being kind and always lending a helping hand to those in need. She had a passion for teaching Sunday School and Church. Corene served as an usher and speaker over the pulpit. She will be missed beyond measure.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Craig (Sharla) Edmondson of Jackson, Michigan, and Albert Smith, Jr. of Lansing, Michigan; daughters, Yolanda Edmondson of Houston, Texas, and Coresa Edmondson of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Marquise Edmondson, Craig Edmondson, II, Deyea Miller, Falysha Edmondson, Reshay Edmondson, Payton Lott, Nicko Rush, II, Keiyon DeMyers, Davion Scott, Passion Cleggett, Ariel Sutton, Albert Smith, III, and Isaiah Manning; great-grandchildren, Harmonie Rush, Heaven Rush, Majesty Rush, Neveah Rush, Nicko Rush, III, Craig Edmondson, III, Delanno Scott, and Kaiser Scott; sisters, Louise Rucker, Lucille Edmondson, Anna Mae Edmondson, Thelma Edmondson, and Ruthie Edmondson; brother, George Edmondson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
 
Corene was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Williams; father, Thomas Edmondson, mother, Ada Edmondson; and brothers, Thomas Edmondson, Jr., and Williams H. Edmondson.
