Corey Lamont Broxton, Jr.

July 11, 1997 — January 5, 2018

On January 5, 2018, angels received orders from God to descend down and place heavenly wings on our son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, godson and friend, Corey Lamont Broxton, Jr.

Corey was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School “Class of 2015.” He also attended Delta College and Saginaw Career Complex (SCC) where he received a certificate of completion in Mechanical Engineering. Corey was employed by Bavarian Inn of Frankenmuth, Michigan, where he was loved and respected. In his spare time, Corey loved playing his PS4 with his brother, Jarvis and cousins, Zechariah and Jeremiah, who were more like brothers. He also enjoyed listening to his music, extremely loud, and detailing his car. Corey always got on his sister’s nerves, but he would “go broke” giving his last to her because he loved her so much. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do, and there wasn’t a man good enough for his sister. The gun range was Corey’s second home, and seafood was his lifeline (Panda Express). Corey loved his parents equally, although he was a daddy’s boy and had always wanted to be with his dad. Although when he lived with his mother he always thought he was the man of the house.

Corey leaves to cherish his memory his father, Corey Lamont Broxton, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Ollie Mae and Randell Steward; one brother, Jarvis Xavier Buell-Broxton; one sister, Santavia Ja’Ney Broxton; two step-sisters, Tatyana Williams, Dallas, Texas, and Randi Steward, Memphis, Tennessee; one step-brother, Dionque Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan; grandparents, Regina Ray and Leon Hollenquest, Saginaw, Michigan; Murine Langston, Berlin, New Jersey; one step-niece, Kateri Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan; nephews, Demetrius and D’Mir Frierson, Saginaw, Michigan; two step-nephews, Damarrion Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan, Devin Williams, Dallas, Texas nine aunts; nine uncles; special uncle, Patrick Powell; two special cousins, Zechariah and Jeremiah Powell; his girlfriend, Ebony Sims, Saginaw Michigan; godparents, Willie and Earline Drain; special friend/sister, Bre’Ahna Donald; and Curtis Brookins, who was very special in Corey’s life; many other relatives and friends.
