Coy Allen Gray (Lansing)

Mr. Coy Allen Gray passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 85 years. Coy was born August 8, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, to parents, Millicent and Richard Gray. He was one of 11 children.

Coy was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1957 and served honorably. Coy would later return to receive his diploma from J.W. Sexton; he would go on to earn a Business Degree and General Associate Degree from Lansing Community College. Coy would go on to utilize this degree at Plante & Moran, where he was employed for many years. He also assisted the Tri County Office on Aging for three years, completing tax returns for those in need. And he was awarded three certificates of appreciation from IRS.

Coy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his cats.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Allen; sisters, Carol Alexander, Cherie Watson, and Margo Oliver; brothers, Jack Gray and Richard Gray; sister-in-law, Nancy Gray; many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and longtime friend, Eugenia Parker.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Millicent Gray; sister, Annette Taylor; and brothers, Robert, James, Billy, and Ronnie Gray; four aunts; eight uncles; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 niece; and 1 nephew.
