Craig Jerome Mims

June 18, 1957 — May 19, 2022

Mr. Craig Jerome Mims passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 64 years.  Craig was born June 18, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Claudia and Lank Mims. 


Craig was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of 1976. He gave himself to the Lord one year ago at First Trinity Church under the leadership of Pastor Duane Thomas.  Craig was devoted to working for the church, helping with the ministry, and doing yardwork at the church.  He had been employed at HomeGoods, and Macy’s Department Store.  Prior to moving from San Diego, California in 1990, Craig worked at Culligan’s, Sharp Memorial Hospital, and National Steel and Shipbuilding Company known as “NASSCO.”  Craig enjoyed barbequing for the family, but especially loved cooking for his mom, jazz music, and concerts.  He also enjoyed taking long walks, exercising, being “dressed to the max,” and fine dining.


Craig leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, LaKeisha Greer, Katrina Hollis, and Amanda Allen all of Saginaw, Michigan; two sons, Brandon Delgado and Corey Mims of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Kei’Asia, Past’Asia, Christen Stitts, Victor Mims Jr., Mikayla Mims, Aydrian Allen, Travion Scarbrough, and Tracy Scarbrough, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Paeton Mims, and Aryahan Delgado, San Diego, California; mother, Claudia Mims;  two sisters, Trina Pruitt, Pontiac, Michigan, and Alethea Foster, Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Antwan (Karen) Mims, and Lank Mims, Jr., Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; one aunt, Voncille Millen, Detroit, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special life partner for many years,  Antwinette Snow; her son, Ja’Quavious; and grandchildren, Jada, Ja’Liyah, and Ja’Quavious Jr. Snow; childhood friends, Norman Grayson, Mark Davis, Larry Simmons, Ricky Flowers, and Frederick Jordan. 


Craig was preceded in death by his son, Victor Mims; father, Lank Mims; sister, Marsha Mims; brother-in-law, Dean Pruitt; grandparents, John and Pinky Johnson, Frank and Maude Mims; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.


The family wishes to thank Pastor Duane Thomas, the Snow, Boyd, Simmons, and Grayson families, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
