Cristina Elva Virola (Lansing)

Ms. Cristina Elva Virola passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Sparrow Health System - Lansing Campus. Age 35 years. She was born April 15, 1985, the daughter of Elva Hernandez and Eric Virola in Lansing, Michigan, the oldest of three children.

Cristina loved her family and would do anything for her children, brother, sister, family and friends. Family was very important to Cristina. Her heart was Gold. She was a shining star to so many who loved her. Cristina’s love for you was unconditional, her never ending loyalty to those she loved was fact. Her smile and her laughter made you happy. Cristina's star will continue to shine over us all, she is with us in spirit now and I know she is still looking out for all of us. Fly high now my angel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her 3 children, two daughters and son, Alexis Lincoln, Jesse Lincoln Jr. and Jariel Tennie; mother, Elva Hernandez (Marvin Vanarsdal); father, Eric (Janie Orozco) Virola; grandmother, Olga Frye; sister, Erica Virola; four brothers, Ericson Virola, David A. Olmedo, Nick and Dylan Vanarsdal; 2 nieces, Juliana Virola and Nevaeh Virola; nephew, Aveon Virola; 5 aunts, O. Nora (Rocky) Adams, Sara A. Hernandez Dorty, Nancy Virola, Marilyn Virola, and Dorys A. Virola; 5 uncles, Josias Hernandez Jr., David Hernandez, Noe (Lorrie) Hernandez, Severo (Ellen) Hernandez, and Feliciano (Kelly) Hernandez; cousins, Raul (Natasha) Olmedo, Vanessa Olmedo, Pamela Tyson, Severo Hernandez Jr., Sarah Gutierrez, Javis Dorty, Jasaria Dorty, Jasmine ( Mario) Jackson, Jalisa Hernandez, David Hernandez Jr., John Hernandez, Keanah Hernandez; Jr., Kimberly Hernandez, Rick Hernandez, Josias Hernandez, Jr., Andrew Hernandez, Nellie (Joshua) Ozroc; and so many more cousins just as special; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Ixchel Esquivel, Angel Nevins, Tawny Rios, Amanda Abaalkhail, Sara Kelly, Maria Holt, Jen Ben, Mel B, Manuel Torres, and Alex Spinney.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gladys (Wita) and Edwin (Wito) Virola, grandpa, Joseph Frye, and grandfather, Josias Hernandez, Sr.; uncle, Pedro Olmedo; and cousin, Kearrah Hernandez.
