Daks Patterson

Our beloved Daks LaPorte-Maximillian Patterson gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 43 years. He was born August 28, 1970 in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas McKay and Shelia Ann Patterson.
Daks was currently a resident of Bay City, Michigan. He was a graduate of Ruben Daniels Lifelong Learning Center. Daks was employed as a chef at various restaurants and was also a salesman at All American Ford. He loved spending time with friends and family, cookouts and listening to music. Daks was a movie buff who enjoyed watching all types of movies. He was a great debater. Daks was an awesome husband, father and friend who loved his family very much. He was a good person who would give you the shirt off his back. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His precious memory will be cherish by his wife, Treva Patterson; one daughter, Daciana Patterson; one son, Daks Patterson Jr.; two stepchildren, Sara and Jaime Cook; father, Thomas McKay; grandmother, Robbie Overstreet; seven sisters, Valencia Johnson, Yazmeen Davenport, Andreija Patterson, Quintina Durrah, Shalane Payton, Reeshemah McMillon and Alex (James) Lofaro; three brothers, TroShawn (Malinda) McMillon, Lester White and Julian Payton; nieces and nephews, Shania McMillon, Turquoise and Tristian Patterson, Ashley Villarreal-Packard, Nicole Garcia, Shalia and Stephon Jackson, Anthony Archer Jr., Kobe Patterson, Troshawn McMillon Jr., Alfonso Ramirez Relle, Noah, Ruben, Johnathan, Elbert and Eric Villarreall, Anthony and Ethan Ells, Sophia, Santana and Julia Villarreal; aunts, Sharon (Mark) Patterson, Brenda Patterson, Ernestine (Cecil) Ruffin, Deanna Rohde, Loretta Patterson; three uncles, Adolph Patterson Jr., Monty Parish and Malcolm McKay; cousins, Tonay Thompson, Toriano Williams, Courtney Patterson, Carmina Lee, the McKinney family, Collins Family, Patterson family; one godson, David Valdez; mother-in-law, Rose Frazer; three sisters-in-law, Chris (James) Hughes, Deb (Mike) Hill, Krissy (Darrell) Hardy; one brother-in-law, Jeff (Kathy) Webber; many other relatives and friends including special friends, the Madison brothers, Alex Lofaro, Kelisha Murphy, Kelly Murphy, Dora and Chris Burton, Mr. & Mrs. Randy Madison, Mrs. Ruby White, Pete and Laura Acosta, Fred and Deer Murrell.
Daks was preceded in death by his mother, Shelia Patterson, grandmother, Emma Patterson, grandfather, Adolph Patterson Sr., cousin, Demont Lee PeeWee, father-in-law, William Frazer.
