Dallas L. Jones

January 14, 1956 — July 27, 2020

Dallas Lee Jones went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2020. Age 64 years. He was born January 14, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to M.T. and Ethel Jones.

Dallas attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1975”. He was employed with Saginaw Steering Gear/Delphi Automotive until his retirement in 2006. Dallas was an active member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Male Chorus. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family. Dallas was an avid bowler and enjoyed coaching youth for many years. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, M.T. and Ethel Jones; grandparents, Hilliard and Laura (Quarles) Jones, Rev. John C and Grover (Woods) Lyons; nephews, Eddie Marlow Jr., SPC. Bobby Meija II; niece, Shenice Jackson; uncles, William (Flossie) Lyons, John Robert Lyons, John Dallas Lyons, Lee Jones; aunt, Julie (Woodrow) Baker; brothers-in-law, Terry Land, Eddie Marlow, Sr.

On August 23, 2014, Dallas married the love of his life, Barbara Land-Jones, who survives him; also surviving are five sons, Dallas II (Ebony) Jones, Cedric McGhee, Marcus Jones, Marcel Jones, Keyon Reed; ten grandchildren, Deiara Brazil, Krysta Jones, Justin Reedy, Gabrielle Jones, Delaney Jones, Keyon Reed Jr., Kamille Reed, Erieon Stewart, Dallas III and Dash Jones; four sisters, Mildred Marlow, Brenda Shaffer, LouEva Hernandez, Japthea (Gregory) Akins; two brothers, Elijah (Sandra) Jones, Joe (Carleetha) Jones; special niece, Cynthia Jones; special aunts, Gracie Jackson, Virginia Winchester; special uncle, Joseph Winchester; father-in-law, McKinley Land; sister-in-law, Carolyn Land; brother-in-law, Carl Land; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including lifelong friends Bruce and Bennie Bailey, Sammy and Wendell Coleman, Alonzo Voltz, Helen Thomas, Arthur "Cub" Culbert, and Robert Wingard.
