Mr. Damon Q. Adkins was born October 27, 1984 in Saginaw, Michigan to Roy Sr. and Yolanda Adkins. He passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at age 34 years.
Damon, lovingly called “Day”, was introduced to God as a child but developed a more personal relationship with him as a man. He attended Old Town Christian Outreach Center and was baptized at Word of Faith International Ministries.
Day was a creative soul. He was a musician and he loved writing and creating music. He also enjoyed going to the movies and cooking. He lived life to the fullest, knowing you can never take any moment for granted.
Day loved being around his family and was very protective of his two teenage daughters. He had a laugh that would fill up the room. He was a giving man with a huge heart, and was always giving to his community, especially the kids. He loved all of his siblings, but Reggie was his favorite and they shared a special bond. Day will be missed, cherished, and always loved and remembered.
He leaves precious memories with his two daughters, Nevaeh Keating, Kashayla Wilson; parents, Roy Sr. and Yolanda Adkins; loving companion, Leah Rios; grandmother, Lillie Mae Adkins; sister, Yolanda (Erik) Donoho, Las Vegas, Nevada; four brothers, Roy V. Jr., Devro D., Amar R., Reggie R. Adkins; four nieces; nine nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousin, Candice Phillips and his brother Reggie.
The family would like to thank everyone who has helped them during this difficult time, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
