Daniel Norwood (Lansing & Dallas, Texas)

Mr. Daniel Ray Norwood passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Adora Midtown Park in Dallas, Texas at the age of 61 years.  He was born the son of LeVern Norwood and Mary Ford on May 19, 1961, in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Daniel was raised in Lansing, Michigan where he graduated from Harry Hill High School. During his high school years, he was the school’s DJ known as Tiger Dan and he ran for the track and field team. Daniel attended Lansing Community College. He earned his Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts. Daniel moved to Dallas, Texas where he was currently employed by The Forum at Park Lane as their Chef.  He loved to cook, but most of all he loved his family.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, U’Neik Norwood of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Corinn Norwood of Baltimore, Maryland and Malachi Norwood of Lansing, Michigan; his parents, LeVern Norwood and Mary Ford; three sisters, Lisa Norwood, Angela (Earl Stevens) Norwood-Stevens, and Alissia Norwood; two brothers, LeVertis (Patricia) Norwood and LeVar Norwood; 3 nieces, BreeAnna Norwood, Breeonna Norwood, and Shyanna Cannon; six nephews, TeAndre Baker, Roderick Patterson, Jr., DaQuan Patterson, LeVertis Norwood, Jr., James Norwood, and Nicholas Norwood; many uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends including special friend, Bettye Nash. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tameka Norwood and niece, Bianca Norwood.
