Darius Deshawn Brooks

Mr. Darius DeShawn Brooks passed away on Tuesday, April 25,2023, in Birmingham, Alabama. Age 28 years. Darius was born November 29, 1994, in Saginaw, Michigan to Quincy D. Jones and Monica D. Brooks.

Darius was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of The Worship Center. He attended Midfield High School, and was employed at Lear Automotive. Darius was in the process of getting his CDL.

Darius loved the game system, basketball, music, and he loved to dress. His goal was to have a clothing line and to have a barbershop. Darius had a beautiful smile; he was funny and family oriented. He loved children and loved to travel, we called him “Baby Chris Brown,’ because he could dance so well. Darius also loved cars, dogs /animals. Darius was easy to talk to and gave good advice. He wanted a lot out of life as far as his goals. Darius was the glue to the family, and was devoted to his friends.

Darius leaves to cherish his memory two daughters and one son, Arii Brooks, and Dallas Harris, Saginaw, Michigan and London Madison, Grand Rapids, Michigan; mother, Monica D. Brooks; grandmother, Doris J. Jones; one sister, Ashly Brooks; six brothers, Brian M. (Secoria) Brooks, Marion J. Brooks, Derrick D. Peterson, Dequarrius D., Quinterrion, and Amir Jones; nieces, Aaliyah D. Fields, Kali G. Peterson, and Brianna S. Brooks; one nephew, Jonas A. Brooks; his fiancée, Alyssa Barnes; aunts, Margaret (Audrian) King, Margaret Jackson, Mildred Valley, Lisa Jamerson, Tasha Burkes, Dystany, and AAlayah; and a special aunt, Erricka D. Pleasant; grandfather, Tommie Thomas; great grandparents, Bill, and Mildred Price; aunts, Juanita Jones, Imogene Davis, and Ann Darby; uncles, Alfonzo Jones, Morris Valley, Billy Brooks, William, and Freeman Price; cousin, Shannon Reese, and Deantea Darby.
