Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Darlene Joyce Blacknall went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 15, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper at the age of 67 years. She was born April 14, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Jamie Thompson.
Darlene was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a homemaker who enjoyed dancing, fishing, playing cards, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. Darlene loved listening to the blues. She was a loving, kind spirited person who loved to laugh and have fun. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Anthony (Tanya) Harrison and Jimmie L. Harrison Jr.; her grandchildren, Deonte Maxwell, Shameca Maxwell, Deijah Banks, Jimmie L. Shabazz, Shabrena Johnson; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Joyce) Thompson, Baltimore, Maryland, Charles Thompson, Saginaw, Michigan, Anthony Bivens, Washington, DC; many other relatives and special friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Primus Blacknall, a special daughter, Kimberly J. Chapman, parents, William and Jamie Thompson, sister-in-law, Catherine Thompson.
