Ms. Darlene Bonner passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 43 years. Darlene was born October 30, 1978, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Doris Bonner and John Bonner.
Darlene was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She enjoyed playing spades, eating ice, and watching the I.D. Channel. Darlene, a very sweet person who would give her last, enjoyed spending time with her children and being surrounded by family and friends. She loved children and often kept most of the kids in the family.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Da’Quavis Vail; two daughters, Destiney Jones, and Dymond Jones, Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Wayne Bonner, Saginaw, Michigan, Eddie(Shekenna) Johnson, Mississippi; two sisters, Thelma (Corey) Simmons, and & Dejavena (Dion) Staffney, both of Saginaw, Michigan; twelve nephews, Wayne Jr., Da’Quaviyon, Corion, Kingston, Zai’Juan, Zaine, Corvell, Corey II, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Mason, D’Maize, Ely, and Exzavier, all of Mississippi; seven nieces, Tiearra, Ciearra, Emonie , Zany’ti, Dazyna, Saginaw, Michigan, Khari, and Shanice, Mississippi; two great-nieces, De’Asia Washington, Lo’Vena Simmons; one great-nephew, Cy’eair McKenzie; three godchildren, Eddie and D’Eddie Mayes, Saginaw, Michigan, and Aydrian Lawson, Texas; aunt, Cora Nelson, Saginaw, Michigan; uncles, Clarence Nelson, Saginaw Michigan, and Larry (Vickie) Nelson, Texas; special cousin, Adriann Burns, Saginaw, Michigan; godmothers, Sandra Brooks, South Carolina, and Hope Warren, Mississippi; special godsister, Latasha Carter of South Carolina; best friend, Latiaya Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Bonner; grandfather, Willie B. Nelson; grandmother, Thelma Lofton; aunts, Mary Lofton, and Joanne Johnson; uncles, Namon Lofton, Jack and John McGill, Eddie Cousin, and Allen Jones.
