Darlene Lou Parks (Holt)

Darlene Lou Parks had been a resident of Lansing, Michigan for most of her life. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 80 wonderful blessed years.

Darlene didn’t have much of a formal education. Therefore, she faced many obstacles in life. But through fierce determination she was able to persevere and establish a good life for her and her only child, her son Frankie. Darlene was a proud employee for many years with the Quality Dairy Company. She was also proud that because of her hard work and dedication, she was promoted to Supervision. Darlene was a faithful member of New St Paul Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Del Gregory until her health challenges prevented her from serving.

Darlene loved to talk, cruising around with her son, loved animals, especially her cat “Frankie”, but most of all she loved spending time with her dear son, Frankie Parks, Sr. and her three grandchildren; Frank Dyreese Parks, Ka’mya Faith Parks, and Avion Miciah Parks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Erma Parks; and her partner for many years, Frank Crockett.

Darlene will be missed dearly, but we find peace in knowing she is now at rest in heaven.
