Darrell Brown (Lansing)

Mr. Darrell Thomas Brown passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. Age 62 years. He was born March 30, 1957 in Lansing Michigan, the 4th son and 5th child of George W. and Thelma Brown. He was a big baby with red hair.

Darrell attended the Lansing School District and completed his GED. He discovered his knack for cooking and spent his working career as a chef and cook at various restaurants and fast food businesses. Darrell loved to keep up with what was going on in the world and would read the newspaper every day. He would then relate the information to his Mom. Darrell loved the Lord, even though he struggled to overcome some of the vices that the world presents as good. Only the Heavenly Father knows the heart of a person, and thankfully that is what He focuses on.

Darrell leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Thelma B. Davis; daughter, Lakeysha Blackmon; son, Darrell Taylor; Grandchildren; sister, Reverend LaSandra Jones; brothers, Michael Brown and Dale Brown; 3 aunts, Hattie Thomas, Chicago, Illinois, Ruby Beaufort, Peekskill, New York and Deborah Anderson, St. Louis, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Brown, Sr.; Stepfather, Herbert Davis; 3 brothers, George Brown, Jr., William Brown and Gerald Brown.
