Mr. Darwin Lamar went home to be with the Lord at his home on December 24, 2023, at the age of 67 years. He was born December 1, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Duff and Patricia Lamar.
Darwin was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School. He played football and basketball. He received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Delta College. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a faithful member of Word of Faith International Ministries under the leadership of Pastors Byron C. and Chestermae Hayes. Darwin was an avid chess player whose hobbies included watching boxing and basketball and stopping by for a plate. He also enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble. Darwin was a man of style and fashion. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Darwin leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Andrea Lamar; 3 children, Dana Harrison Jeter, Jermaine Franklin, Jr., and Daryae’ Lamar; 7 grandchildren who affectionately called him Papa and Pop-Pop, Braxton, Kalynn, Taliah, Chaundi (CJ), Gabrielle, Charlie, Ky’Are; siblings, Karen (Delmar) Algee, Gayle (Denise) Hayles, Patricia Jones, Duff (Liz) Lamar, Jr., Hedy Robinson, Monique Lamar-Silvia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Albert Turnbull, Al Sweeney, Rob Adway, Edward Harrison, Jessie Addison, Kevin Jordan and Victor Johnson.
Mr. Lamar was preceded in death by his parents, Duff and Patricia Lamar; siblings, Paulette Lamar-Rainey, Pamela Lamar-Jordan, John Lamar, Sr., Terry Lamar; and niece, Tamika Latosha Silvia.
