Darwin DeMarcus Weathers passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Spectrum Health Systems. Age 34 years. He was born January 11, 1978 in Saginaw, Michigan to Yvonne Weathers and Richard Washington.Darwin attended Buena Vista High School and was a member of the varsity basketball team. He received his high school diploma in 1998 from Mackinaw Academy. Darwin was a member of Mt. Olive Institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marvin T. Smith. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going out to eat, playing his PlayStation 3 game and collecting tennis shoes. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Imani Hardin, Octaevia Weathers, Brittany Burley, Jiteshia Weathers; one son, Darwin Weathers Jr.; parents, Yvonne (Steve) Weathers, Richard Washington; his grandmother whom he loved very much, Shirley Weathers; god-parents, Craig (Priscilla) Clayton, Napoleon, Ohio; seven sisters, Jiteshia Taylor, Brittnye Jones, Jasmine Washington, Quinyon Hunt, Tamika Clayton, Ursula Taylor, Ashley Jones; three brothers, Marquest Wilson, Jimmy Taylor Jr., Billy Jones Jr.; nieces, Mariyah Ware, Jordyn Davis, Oremetre Little, Akiveon Hunt Wicker; nephews, Toriono Ware II, Bernard Davis II; six aunts, Shunda Haygood, Madison, Alabama, Doris Battle, Phyllis (Richard) Coleman, Lynda Willis, Leatrice Washington, Nashville, Tennessee, Monica (Tony) Sangster; eight uncles, James Battle, Clyde (Celeste) Battle, Flint, Michigan, Arthur (Judy) Weathers, Deon Weathers, Atlanta, Georgia, Anthony (Shamorrow) Hunt, Horace (Anita) Weathers, Madison, Alabama, Willie (Lolita) Weathers, Chicago, Illinois, Anthony (Carolyn) Redeemer; several cousins who loved him dearly including special cousins, Latosha Weathers, Bryant (Toyah) Epperson Jr., DeMonte and DeVonte Haygood; many other relatives and friends including his Pops Jimmy Taylor Sr., special friends, Shalonda Bailey, Alexandria Williams and Donte Farris.
Darwin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willett Weathers Sr., Percy and Margaret Washington, one uncle, Alfonso Tinsley, best friend, Damien West.
We are most grateful for the gifts of friends like you who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Dr. Marvin T.
