David Alaniz (Lansing)

Mr. David Peña Alaniz passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, due to illness at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 88 years. On his final day, he was surrounded by his loving family, whom he adored. He was born in Sinton, Texas on March 9, 1932.

David worked on his father’s farm until he married at the age of 21. He worked at various jobs to support his large family. He settled in Michigan in 1967 when he began working for the Motor Wheel Corporation.

David loved to entertain friends and family with humorous stories of his youth. He enjoyed traveling, attending church, singing, and praising God. One of his favorite pastimes was to go fishing while spending the day admiring God’s handiwork and counting his blessings.

David was known for his strong Christian faith and family values and will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his eight children, 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great-grandchild, a sister, a wife, Primo Hermano, many half-siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
