He was quiet yet attentive and observant. He possessed a sharp wit and kind heart. His clever and gentle words often left you escaping his presence with laughter and joy. His quiet strength and peaceful spirit will be remembered.
David Anthony Brown, Sr., son of Mrs. Evelyn Brown-Williams, was born on September 9, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan.
David graduated from Cody High School in 1985 and later attended Lawrence Technological University. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the games. His favorite teams were the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan. He also enjoyed playing pool.
David was baptized in Jesus' name at an early age and was a member of Unity Temple in Detroit, Michigan. He relocated to Lansing, Michigan, in 2016 and became a member of The Bread House – Bethlehem Temple Church in Lansing.
On July 1, 2017, David married the love of his life, Mirenda. The two were inseparable, sharing their love of traveling, exploring new restaurants, and watching game shows together under warm, cozy blankets. From blissful dating to marriage, they were blessed to experience twelve wonderful years together.
David began his career as a dedicated employee at Vesco Oil Company and later worked at the Aldi Distribution Center.
In his later years, David and his wife became members of Hope Christian Ministries International in Lansing, where he continued to grow in his faith. David loved the Lord and was a living testimony of the goodness of God.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, David was called home to be with the Lord. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Mirenda Brown; three children, David Jr., Alicia, and Dontez Brown (Dallas, Texas); step-children, Elzie and Zaria Cannon; mother, Evelyn Brown-Williams; aunts, Esther Hence, Inell Thomas, Costella (Joe) Williams, Annie Bodiford, Jean (Marvin) Harris, and Lucy Helton; uncles, Otis Brown, James (Florence) Brown, Julisus (Linda) Davis, and Robert Davis; mother-in-law, Gerlin Davis; brother-in-law, Tyrone Davis; sister-in-law, Bernadette Holmes; and a host of cousins and friends.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Gertrude Brown; his stepfather, Lorenzie Williams Jr.; younger brother, Donavan Williams; uncle, Thomas Brown; aunt, Etta McAllister, and father-in-law, Essie Davis Jr.
