David Hicks (Lansing)

Mr. David Hicks passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his residence in Howell, Michigan. Age 70 years. He was born Tuesday, April 7, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Donald and Josephine Hicks.

David loved going to Silver Lake Sand Dunes to race his dune buggy. He really likes cars that go fast, especially his sharp GTO. The GTO he loved to race. David enjoyed going to watch and sponsor sprint cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who will greatly miss him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Shanna Lester; 3 grandchildren; sister, Judy (John Nati) Maag; niece, Jennifer Maag (Kyle Dodson); great niece, Shelby Lynn Dodson; nephew, Justin Maag (Lyndsey Westerman); 2 great nephews, Owen James Maag and Kyns Westerman; cousins, Mike (Theresa) Hicks, Brian (Linda) Grevel, Peggy (Roy) Deede, Vicky Carrick, John Fish, Tina Brdford, Diana Gubry and Jerry Fish; many other relatives and friends including his longtime girlfriend and caregiver, Diane Woosley; her children, Ron (Vicky) Woosley, Tom (Kristin) Woosley, Lisa (Kevin) Morrison, and grandchildren; best friends, Jerry Sawyers, Robert (Linda) VanAntwerp, and Kathy Drew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Josephine Hicks.
