David "Larry" Brisboe (Lansing)

January 12, 1953 — March 8, 2025

Lansing

Mr. David “Larry” Brisboe passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025. Age 72 years. He was born January 12, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan. The son of Joyce and George “Pat” Brisboe.

Larry was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School and he was a resident of Holt, Michigan. He was a proud linesman with General Motors and shared many stories with his family and friends of the work he did there. Larry was quick witted and was known for his sense of humor. We would always count on him to bring laughter to any room. Throughout his life he had many interests. He loved to golf with his son Jason. He also attended many Nascar races with his daughter Stacie. He was a faithful fan of the Detroit Lions but U of M football was his absolute favorite sports team (As evidenced by his wardrobe). In recent years, he enjoyed going to car shows and taking bus trips to casinos.

Uncle Larry was our favorite person. He encouraged us to reach for the moon and not to stop there. He always told us that his door was always open. He loved to know, and always made sure he asked, how we were doing in our careers, with our families, and our health. He always made himself available and constantly made us laugh. Most of all, he made certain that we felt loved. He will be so missed!

Larry had a very close circle of friends and family. He found love again with Karen Arntz and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events whenever he was able to.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory to his nieces, Gerri (Karl) Pfeifer, Carrie Brisboe, and Julia Ruiz; nephews, Dan Burch, Paul Burch, David Conklin, Scott Seeger, Patrick Brisboe, Jim Brisboe, Todd Brisboe, Josh Ruiz, and Justin Ruiz; sister, Jan Seeger; brothers, Dale (Sue) Brisboe and Don (Martha) Brisboe; and many cousins & their families- cousins are our first friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Brisboe; children, Jason Brisboe and Stacie Brisboe; parents, Joyce and Pat Brisboe; sister, Patricia Burch; brother in law, Charlie Seeger.

The family would like to express special thanks to Larry's friends and neighbors. He loved all of you and talked endlessly of all of your adventures and conversations that he enjoyed with many of you.
