David Neal Sr.

Mr. David Neal, Sr, quietly departed his earthly home on October 3, 2012. He was born February 1, 1935 in Wisner, Louisiana, the seventh of ten children born to Saul and TrueLove Neal. At an early age, David accepted Christ and joined the New Light Baptist Church in Wisner, Louisiana and later joined Tabernacle Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan.
Mr. Neal was a member of Perfect Ashler Lodge #26 where he served for many years in leadership positions as Past Master of Perfect Ashler Lodge #26, Inspector General 33 degree, and on the Board of Directors in Detroit, Michigan. He became a member of the Elks Lodge #674 of Saginaw, Michigan in 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served with honor. Mr. Neal was employed with General Motors for more than thirty years as a skilled tradesman (electrician).
Mr. Neal leaves to cherish his memory three daughters and one son, Brenda C. Young, Angela A. Neal, Alysa A. (Darrell) Rickman all of Dallas and Flower Mound, TX, David Neal, Jr., Newberry, MI; his grandchildren, Monica A. Neal, Chicago, IL, LaTanya Comer, Saginaw, MI, David John Neal, Baton Rouge, LA, ShyEllis DeJuan Cooper and Alan D. Cooper, (Dallas, TX, Jeremiah Nealson Lewis, Flower Mound, TX, Alaina and Dalaina Rickman, Flower Mound, TX, Nia and Matthew Rickman, Hoover, AL; great granddaughter, Jenis Neal, Monroe, LA; sisters and brothers, Ethel N. Keys, Wisner, LA, Lendy N. Lewis, Jacksonville, AR, Jake Neal, Wisner, LA, Jesse Turner Neal, Wisner, LA, Walter (Lois) Neal, Olympia, WA; a special niece, Vivian Keys Brown; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including members of Perfect Ashler Lodge #26 and the Elks Lodge #674 and a good friend, Sam Woodhouse;
Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Saul Neal, Sr. and TrueLove Neal Minor; siblings, Saul Neal, Jr. and Joseph Neal, Myrtis Neal, Janie N. Adams and Emma N. Blunt.
