David Vaughn, Jr.

David J. Vaughn, Jr. was born October 15, 1951 in Lima, Ohio, the son of David Sr. and Cora Vaughn. He made his heavenly transition on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 69 years.

David, along with his family, relocated to Saginaw, Michigan Lima, Ohio. He received his education through Buena Vista Public Schools and graduated high school with the “Class of 1969.” His employment after graduation included CAC, General Motors Saginaw Malleable Grey Iron Foundry and Saginaw Board of Education, from which he retired after many years of service.

David’s hobbies included but not limited to fishing, bowling, cooking, watching sports and listening to the blues. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. David was known for giving family members nicknames and was loved by many.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David Vaughn, Sr. and Cora Roach; sisters, Mary Porter, Judy Talley, Dorothy Johnson; aunts, Lonita Stenson, Elizabeth Johnson, Ruth Talley, Alberta Hamilton; uncles, Jimmy Red, Bill, Donald Stenson; nieces, Maryann Porter, Sharita, Markeisha Vaughn; nephews, Booker T. Porter and Bryce Brown.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Penny Vaughn; children, Fizena Vaughn, Ophella (Seneca) Jackson, Courtney (Will) Medina, Chardae, Contel Koger, David Vaughn II, Jordan, Medina; grandchildren, Brea, Charleea, David, Zoria, Montaesha, Syndell, Akneya, Jayceon, Emma, Amelia, Naomi; great-grandchildren, Troionna, Trinity, Kayden; stepfather, Glen Roach; sisters, Alice Clemons, Kathreen Ware, Ruby Vaughn; brother, Michael (Lori) Vaughn; thirty-seven nieces; thirteen nephews; four aunts; four uncles; one sister and brother-in-law; many cousins, other relatives and friends, including longtime friend, Silvia Medina.
