Davis Lee was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Benjamin Sr. and Anna Lee on December 5, 1953. He transitioned from this life on June 22, 2021 at Covenant Harrison Health Center in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 67 years.
Davis was educated in the Saginaw Public School system. Following high school, Davis entered into the United States Army. He served from November 16, 1972 until he was honorably discharged on March 24, 1976. While in the army he earned a National Defense Medal. After his discharge he worked several jobs until he became disabled.
Davis was kind hearted, loved to laugh and loved making others laugh. He loved to eat and was a very good cook. Davis loved to draw and paint and was very good at that too. HE loved his family and people. If he showed up, you could count on a laugh or two. Davis will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Early in life he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Later on, Davis was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins and God filled him with the gift of the Holy Ghost. He was a member of Bethlehem Temple Church.
Davis leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Shontell (Rudy) Patterson, Saginaw, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Sydnie Medina, Detroit, Michigan, Taylour, Bryce, Ashtyn Patterson, Kiya Lee, Latoya, Joy, Michael Boyd, Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan, Davis S. Lee, Grand Rapids, Michigan; one great-grandson, Grant Tyus, Detroit, Michigan; sisters, Mary (Hubert) Bond, Vickie (Rickie) Lee, Joyce Lee; one brother, Doyse (Shirley) Lee; five aunts and two uncles, one of which he is named after (“Uncle Sugar”, Davis Lee); Cyrena Guidry, whom he called his daughter; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from all over, including very close friend Michael Boyd, Sr. and his dearest, most special friend of eleven years, Delphine Grays.
Davis was preceded in death by one daughter, Kara Lee; one son, Davis Lee, Jr.; parents, Benjamin Sr. and Anna Lee; two brothers, Benjamin Jr. and Frederick Lee; one nephew, Benjamin Lee III.
