Davone M. Bowser (Lansing)

Mr. DaVone Martez Bowser, our beloved son, grandson, father, brother, uncle, cousin and dear friend was called home Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan, at age 32. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, on May 27, 1990, to Jerry Bowser, Sr. and Tarsheikia Beasley.

DaVone received his formal education through the Lansing Public School District. Throughout his adult life, DaVone held employment at various jobs, including, Ryders and Woodbridge. As a child and young adult DaVone loved boxing and basketball, watching animal planet, taking walks on nature trails, and most importantly spending time with his children, family and friends.

DaVone was FIERCLY dedicated to raising his children. He enjoyed traveling with his daughter E’Sani to auditions and just having daddy and daughter time. He enjoyed taking DaVone, Jr. and Zy’Ona to the pet store to feed the ducks. They enjoyed movie nights and trips to the zoo and playing at the park. No matter what the occasion, DaVone prioritized his children and understood the value of spending quality time with them. He had an unbreakable bond with E’Sani, Zy’Ona, and DaVone, Jr. and was a GREAT father.

During his visitation here on earth, he touched a lot of souls, by his acts of love. He lived his life to the fullest and tried to make every day count. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. His mesmerizing smile and energy were like no other! He was especially excited about sharing this good energy with his children, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Everyone who knew DaVone “D.V.” will remember his sense of humor and his ENDLESS love for his children and family.

He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, his 3 children, E’Sani Ashonna Bowser, Zy’Ona Camille Marie Bowser, DaVone Martez Bowser, Jr., all of Lansing, Michigan; father Jerry E. Bowser, Sr. and bonus mother Nina Bowser of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandparents, Windford and Dorothy Akins, of Lansing Michigan; sisters, Chantele Bowser of Atlanta Georgia, Alina Bowser of Grand Rapids, Michigan, DaVonna Akins, and Ònija Akins of Lansing, Michigan; brothers, DeQuan “Martel” Bowser of Lansing, Michigan, Jerry Bowser, Jr., Jordan Scott-Bowser both of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ònaje Miller of Lansing, Michigan and bonus brother, DeMarcus Rush of Detroit, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

DaVone was proceeded in death by his mother, Tarsheikia Monique Beasley; brother, Elijah Brown; grandparents; JoAnn Bowser and Carlton Yarbrough; aunts, Augustine and Angelia Beasley; and cousin, Michael Adams.
