Dawn M. Taylor

June 29, 1965 — October 25, 2021

Ms. Dawn Marie Taylor passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 56 years. She was born June 29, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Curley James and Lilly Pearl Taylor.

Dawn was a believer in Christ since her youth. After graduating from Saginaw High School, she pursued a certificate in dental hygiene. Dawn left her career to become the care provider for both her parents after a lengthy illness. After the passing of her parents, Dawn worked customer service as a blackjack dealer, and in transportation with Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS). One of Dawn’s hidden talents was singing. Her favorite artists were Sade, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, most favorite, Anita Baker. She won a talent show singing one of Anita’s songs titled “Fairy Tales.”

Dawn loved spending time with her family, playing all kinds of board games, cards, and video games. The most played game was spades, this was even more so back in the day at Big Ma’s house. We can remember the loud laughter, cards smacking the table, Uncle Jugs signature yell as the family faced off against each other in love. Dawn was the life of the party and she wanted those she loved around as we played for hours, enjoying the days. When asked what her superpower would be if she could have one, she said love. She wanted everyone to love one another and to show it. Dawn had a love for everyone, but no one was more important than those whom she considered family, blood or not. Dawn was kind, dedicated, inspirational, motivational, accepting, and was the angel of our life.

Dawn leaves to cherish precious memories three children: Deana Dean, Bryant Jr. (Jalisa) Dean, Brianne (Wesley) Williams; eleven grandchildren: Tamiah Brodnex, Tavarion Dean, Tamaria Heart, Tavaris Dean, D’Asia Rogers, Bryant Dean III, Tavian Dean, Wesley Williams Jr., Taylor Mayde Dean, Aya Williams, and Broly Dean; seven siblings: Curley James Taylor Jr., Randolph (Mattie Pearl) Taylor, Denise (Terry) Triplett, Fred (Rita) Taylor, Bernadine McDuffy, Micheal Taylor, Kimberly (Venny) Bond; thirteen nieces and nephews: Sam Lambert, Catrice Lambert, Tianna Lambert, Shannon Taylor, Julian Taylor, Deon Taylor, Trenieka Clark, Vince Bond, Phillip Taylor, Stephanie Bond, and Felicia Armbristor.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Curley James and Lilly Pearl Taylor, sisters, Barbara Keller, and Yvonne Lambert, nephews, Micheal Clark, and Lonnie Lambert.

The family would like to express special thanks to Terry and Denise Triplett, Randolph and Mattie Pearl Taylor, Curley Taylor Jr., and Felicia Ruffin, for all your love and support though this difficult time.
