Mr. Dean Frederick Pruitt peacefully made his Heavenly transition to eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the age of 55 years. He was born July 17, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to William A. Pruitt and Lois Dean Pruitt-Johnson.
Dean became a resident of Pontiac, Michigan after relocating from San Diego, California to be near his family. He was a 1977 graduate of Saginaw High School. Dean attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and I.T.T. Technical Institute where he received a Bachelors degree in Engineering. He was a retiree of the United States Navy and a Gulf War veteran where he served as Communications Petty Officer 1st Class. Dean was a District Manager for AT&T for many years. He was a loving husband, father and son who enjoyed fishing, traveling and vacationing. Dean loved fine dining and dressing well. He loved bestowing on his loving wife and family expressions of his love through lavish gifts and experiences. His wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his devoted wife, Trina Pruitt; one daughter, BreAnna Pruitt; two sons, Frederick (Glynneice) Pruitt and Dean F. Pruitt Jr.; three grandchildren, Malik, Aubrey and Levi Pruitt; stepmother, Lois J. Pruitt; one sister, Dawne M. Pruitt; one brother, William A. Pruitt Jr.; one niece, Jirah Pruitt; three nephews, Jason and Donovan Pruitt, Joe Lyes; one uncle, Dale Washington; a special mother-in-law, Claudia Mims; one sister-in-law, Alethea Foster; three brothers-in-law Craig Mims, Antwane (Karen) Mims and Lank Mims Jr.; many other relatives and friends including special relatives, Lacy Grigsby Jr., and the Taylor Family; special friends, Clarence West, Greg Hardy, Mike Taylor, Willie Abby Lucky, Fred and Rita Taylor.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, William A. Pruitt and Lois Dean Pruitt-Johnson, grandparents, Smiley and William Lou Pruitt, one sister, Wendolyn D. Lyes, special father-in-law, Lank Mims, sister-in-law, Marsha Mims and one nephew, Victor Mims.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Holy Mission Church of God in Christ church family and the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church family of Pontiac, Michigan for their love and prayers.
