Debra Pershay Finch

December 29, 1954 — March 30, 2020

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Debra Pershay Finch, departed this earthly life to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, March 30, 2020 at the age of 65 years. She was born December 29, 1954, the fourth child born to Johnnie and Hattie Pershay.

Debra graduated from St. Joseph and Ross Medical School in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed by Meijer for over fifteen years until her health began to decline. She was an avid reader and her word pronunciation was flawless. Despite her health challenges, she always tried to manage a smile.

Debra was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries. She was a woman of strong faith that loved God. She was humble, kind, full of love and grace. Her faith was unwavering. No matter what obstacles she faced, she believed she would overcome and was always ready to fight.

After a hard-fought year, Debra finally finished her course. She fought the good fight and kept the faith. She will be remembered for her love, strength, faith and will to persevere against all odds. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

Debra was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashantai Nicole Finch; parents, Johnnie and Hattie Pershay; brothers, Arnold and Raymond Pershay; special cousin, Marie Prescott.
