Deirdre Ann Walker, affectionately known as "Dee" was born on July 28, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan to the union of the late Murlie and Ethelene Walker. Dee departed this life on Monday, August 6th at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. She was 57 years old.
Dee was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 1979.” She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Central Michigan University, followed by two Master’s degrees in Health Administration and Public Health from the University of Michigan. Prior to her illness, Dee worked at Mott Children's Health Center, Hurley Medical, and Health Plus of Flint, Michigan, where she made many lifelong friends both personally and professionally.
In her spare time, you could always find Dee with a crossword puzzle, a good book, watching Jeopardy, or printing out educational games for family and friends. She will be remembered by her warm spirit, her compassion for others and her gift of wisdom and laughter.
Mourning her departure while cherishing loving memories of her are her son, Jared Lee Walker of Flint, Michigan; two sisters, Doretha Gissendanner, Grand Rapids, MI, Robin Hurth, Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Marvin (Sara) Walker, Saginaw, Michigan, Murlie (Charlotte) Walker, Joliet, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Michael) Jackson, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Candra (Michael) Alford, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Deon (Cindy) Walker, Tampa, Florida, Damion (Christina) Walker, Saint Paul, Minnesota, Alexis J. Walker, Saginaw, Michigan, Robert K. Hurth, Saginaw, Michigan; many other family and friends.
Dee will now rest peacefully with her heavenly Father, her earthly parents, Murlie Sr. and Ethelene Walker, and older brother, Robert “Bobby” Walker.
