Ms. Delbra Foster gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was born November 16, 1952 to Mary and Arthur Foster in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Delbra was a 1972 graduate of Druid High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After graduation she relocated to Saginaw, Michigan. Delbra was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodrick A. Smith. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend who had a special love for children. Delbra enjoyed laughing, talking on the phone, eating, vacationing and spending time with her two grandchildren. She fought a good fight of nearly a decade of illness before she was called home to be with the Heavenly Father. Delbra was The Aunt of an entire generation whose doors where always open as long as you cleaned up before you went back out of them. She was Grandmother Delbra to every baby she ever met. Although she had some down times, she would always tell you shes had more good ones then bad ones. Her infectious love and laugh will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kinante Foster; grandson; KeAndre Buchanan; granddaughter, KiAsia Foster; four brothers, Larry Foster, James Foster, Ervin Foster and Fredrick Foster; three sisters, Rudell Foster, Barbara Foster and Belinda Buck; many sisters and brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; godchildren, Michelle Chester, Felicia Brown, Nicole and Kevin Righter; many other relatives and friends including her many long-time friends in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Saginaw, Michigan.
Delbra joined other angels that went to be with the Lord, daughter, Kinyetta Foster, mother, Mary Royster, father, Arthur Foster and brother, Alvin Foster.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Darshawn and David Owens, Pastor Rodrick Smith and the Zion Missionary Baptist Church family, Pastor Taurus Simpson and the Daniels Den Ministries family and all our family and friends who offered prayers of comfort and condolences.
