Delois Hurston was born December 7, 1960 in Opelika, Alabama to George Hurston and Dorothy Stinson. She passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the age of 60 years.
Delois was a graduate of Buena Vista High School. She was employed at Walmart on Brockway for thirteen years. For leisure, she enjoyed singing, dancing and going to bingo. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren. Our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will truly be missed and never forgotten.
Delois was preceded in death by her father, George Hurston, Sr.; one brother, George Hurston, Jr.; stepfather, Eddie Patrick; grandparents, James and Katie Hurston, Lois Worthy and Willie Stinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Emory (Nicole) Hurston, Antranette Davis; mother, Dorothy Patrick; grandchildren, Shylin Hurston, Ai’Leana Seals, Emerson Hurston, Keterrian Price, Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan; sisters, Joyce (Jerome) Patrick, Marilyn (LC) Thomas, Wendy Patrick, Meredith Hurston; brothers, Mitchell (Tonya) Patrick, Edmond (Jacquelyn) Patrick; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Necolia Patterson, Ruth Barney, Roxanne Collier, Kayla Claus and Sherry Weathers.
