Mrs. Delores Colvin, affectionately known as Aunt Lorsy, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 86 years. She was born January 31, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to William Walker and Amanda Kennedy.
Mrs. Colvin was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Warren Avenue Presbyterian Church. Delores was a graduate of Vassar High School, and was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital. A genuine and loving person, Aunt Lorsy loved her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed helping others. Her hobbies included cooking and reading. Aunt Lorsy was known for her love of baking Christmas cookies. She will be missed by family and friends who loved her dearly.
She leaves to cherish loving memories one son, Van A. Colvin; three stepchildren, Lucinda Bell, Deborah Morris and Robert Russell Colvin; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Chad and Jennifer, Saginaw, Michigan; three sisters, Mary Doris Burns, Josephine Haynes and Yarbra Copeland; one niece, Jackie Kelley-Smith; many nephews, aunts uncles and cousins; special cousin, Louise Derden; one brother-in-law, Alonzo J. (Charlene) Colvin; many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Colvin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Colvin; daughter, Felecia Colvin; mother, Amanda Kelly, and father, William Walker.
